AUSSNAP of Australia Announce Their Oyster Basket Clips and Fishing Clips Now Cheaper than Imported Products?
Yes! There has been some really exciting developments recently in pricing on the Australian market. Aussnap's oyster basket clips are now almost the same price as the plastic clips they replace. When we started making these clips some eight years ago they were about 50% dearer than the plastic product.
On the fishing side of our business some chandlers around the country are buying our high quality fishing clips cheaper than they can get the imported products - are you one of them?
Until recently we had always relied on higher quality to sell our clips, for even greater savings we will retail factory direct to any fisherman whose local chandler does not stock our products.
We are not really sure why this has happened recently. We know that over 10 years we have covered rising costs by improving productivity, and kept our prices remarkably stable. We know that the Asian producers are locked into the $US, and they are in turmoil with its current collapse to the point where they are raising their prices on an almost daily basis.
